Background
The Graduate College has strategic oversight for approximately 3,000 postgraduate research and postgraduate taught students at Canterbury Christ Church University. The key strategic objectives of the Graduate College are to promote growth at postgraduate level, developing our offer to keep pace with demand for both academic and practice-based postgraduate courses and to provide an excellent postgraduate student experience.
The role
Working closely with the Graduate College Business Managers and colleagues in central marketing and communications services, the Postgraduate Marketing, Recruitment and Events Lead will have responsibility for developing the Graduate College’s strategy for marketing postgraduate courses. They will manage, on behalf of the Graduate College, the operational delivery of key aspects of marketing and communications aimed at the recruitment of postgraduate students and support Faculty colleagues in the recruitment of postgraduates.
Areas of work and responsibility will include liaising with Marketing and Communications on the development of marketing materials and marketing opportunities, planning and delivering Graduate College led postgraduate recruitment events and supporting University wide events, developing the postgraduate and Graduate College web pages, advertising scholarships, and using multimedia channels to develop postgraduate marketing campaigns.
The Postgraduate Marketing, Recruitment and Events Lead will also be required to build and maintain effective relationships between the Graduate College and external stakeholders (including businesses, employers, research funding councils, sponsors and international partners).
The post holder will be primarily based in the Graduate College in Canterbury (North Holmes Road campus) but will be required to travel to sites in Medway and Tunbridge Wells as necessary.
