HR Business Partner
Canterbury
£35-40k DOE

Exciting role working for an established but growing business in a fast-paced period of change management with significant opportunity ahead, but also challenges to consider.

This is a hands-on, fast paced position ideal for someone who is looking to step up and expand their experience with a view to progression to HR Manager in the long term.

In this company, no two days are the same!

Your duties will include:

* Providing high quality consistent advice to all managers and staff members
* Supporting with employee queries, being first point of contact for HR queries, dealing with policy and procedure related queries; this role suits someone who genuinely loves the 'people' element and will be keen to get in front of employees and build those relationships!
* Collating and report on HR management information including headcount, absence, and turnover
* Managing the new starter and leaver process for example: managing the induction programme and organising and conducting exit interviews when required.
* Managing and overseeing employee training and on-boarding at the Canterbury site, offering suggestions to overcome various challenges such as a largely international workforce
* Carrying out activities including the administration of the following HR areas:
* Recruitment & Selection
* Return to work
* Employee Relations
* Reward Issues
* Consultation
* Terms & Conditions of Employment and Policies and Procedures
* Training & Career Development
* Developing relationships with key stakeholders

You will have/be:

* Solid HR experience demonstrating good employment law knowledge
* Ideally CIPD qualified but not essential
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with people from all backgrounds
* Strong organisational skills
* Confidence in managing high levels of ER cases
* Strong Excel skills
* The ability to work at pace under pressure
* A meticulous grasp of the English language both verbal and written; able to write professional and accurate letters without error
* A proactive approach, always looking for ways to improve; focused on developing personal skill-set through gaining further experience and working collaboratively with existing team
* A strong work ethic, with a career minded attitude
* Resilient, with a good sense of humour - this isn't an industry for the faint hearted!
* 'Muck in' attitude to work; happy to do what is needed!
* Collaborative in your approach: a team player with a good understanding of respecting existing processes and learning how a business operates fully before implementing changes

This is an exciting role for a passionate HR professional to join a business who are growing. This position would most suit someone who has worked to Assistant/Advisor level and is ready to step up into a BP position with huge growth potential. Perhaps you haven't had the exposure you'd ideally like to all areas of HR and are looking to gain that experience in a larger organisation, or within a different sector where you will get the chance to be truly hands on operationally and see the impact of your work day-to-day!

Please note, we can only consider drivers with their own transport due to the location of this company and the multi-site element of the wider business.
