Pearson Whiffin Education are looking to recruit an outstanding teacher of science to cover a period of absence at a secondary school in Folkestone. This is a long-term, ongoing role that will start immediately.

Unqualified candidates or graduates looking to gain QTS may be considered as well as candidate who consider Science a second subject.

This teaching job is based in a secondary school in Folkestone so would suit a candidate based in East Kent. The school has easy access by road and ample parking for teachers.

The successful Science Teacher will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 Science courses. You will teach a varied timetable allowing you ample opportunity to demonstrate a varied delivery technique rooted in use of materials and technology and offering differentiation to manage mixed ability classes.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need the following;

* Sufficient subject knowledge to teach Science at KS3 and KS4
* Good classroom management rooted in thoughtful lesson planning and delivery
* Effective differentiation techniques to tackle mixed ability classes
* Innovative teaching style utilising a range of tools and media
* Teamwork skills making you a valuable member of the teaching family
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to acquire)
