QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Group PLC specialising in the design and manufacture of a range of state of the art Unmanned Aerial and Surface Target systems including the world leading Banshee target. QTS targets are used to enable realistic weapons test and evaluation and operator training in over 40 countries worldwide with QTS providing a complete managed service in over 15 of these countries.

Responsibilities include:

Administration of the QTS PDM Pro Vault

Creation/design/maintenance of data cards, including selection of variable metadata to support full search functionality

Maintenance of workflows, categories and templates to support introduction of new forms with mapped variable attributes

Restructuring of vault data to support search functionality and permission control

Use of dispatch and task commands for automating vault actions

In collaboration with the Configuration team, ensure consistency between EBOM and MBOM data


Key capabilities:

Fully conversant with all features of SolidWorks PDM Pro (2019 or later)

Confident delivering presentations and tutorials over MS Teams

Working capability using SolidWorks (3D, 2D, Electrical, Routing, etc)

Desirable – ability to create custom tasks using VBA

Desirable – ability to create custom search reports using SQL


Experience and qualifications:


Minimum 3 years' experience administrating SolidWorks PDM

Qualified PDM Administrator through SolidWorks VAR training

Experience working with product realisation in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment

Desirable – experience with BS 8888 and associated standards

Desirable – experience with ISO 10007 or equivalent

Desirable – established network/relationship with Solid Solutions technical support
