Teacher of Maths

This secondary school based in Thanet are looking for a Teacher of Maths to join a very successful Maths department in September 2022. NQTs will be considered alongside more experienced teachers with the recruitment emphasis being on quality of teaching.
This school teaches Maths at KS3 and KS4 using a range of exam boards and courses. Students are encouraged to develop learning skills through a broad and engaging curriculum. Individualised learning is encouraged and pastoral care is seen as both a priority and a strength in the department and the wider school.
In this job you will get the opportunity to teach a mixed timetable of KS3 and KS4 Maths. You will be given ample time to plan and prepare your lesson material. You will work with academic students with a passion for their learning. You will be expected to challenge and develop their understanding of their subject and ensure that they have the best opportunity at achieving a great GCSE grade.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* The ability to teach Maths at GCSE
* The ability to lead learners with excellent classroom presence
* The ability to stretch and challenge academic students
* The experience of using current educational technology
* The up-to-date knowledge of current teaching practices and safeguarding legislation
* Complete flexibility on the days and weeks that you work (supply bookings)
