My client, based in Mid Kent, is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior. This is an exciting opportunity to join a top 20 firm and contribute to their growing and busy department. They are looking for an Accounts Semi-Senior who can demonstrate experience of having worked within a Practice environment previously.

You will be part of a busy department and be responsible for the preparation of management and statutory accounts preparation for companies, partnerships, and sole traders. You will work with a wide, varied client base and will be responsible for managing your workload effectively within the required time frames and budget requirements. You will work providing technical expertise, dealing with client queries, and prioritising your workload accordingly.
Supporting your client base you will take documents from source through to final accounts, produce management accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis, work on taxation and VAT issues where needed, liaising with other internal departments where required.

Overview:
- To prepare statutory accounts primarily for companies, also partnerships, and sole traders. As well as some LLPs and charities
- To prepare corporation tax computations, draft corporation tax returns with XBRL tagged accounts for review
- To assist with bookkeeping and VAT return preparation on occasional assignments
- To support the audit teams on occasional assignments

Ideally, you will:

Be AAT qualified or part qualified ACA/ACCA
Have strong practical knowledge/experience of accounts preparation within a practice environment
Good double-entry knowledge and skill
Working knowledge of SAGE, and other IT packages, although training would be available
Basic tax knowledge - how to do tax computations, PAYE, VAT

The role could be based in Maidstone or Canterbury, depending on your requirements
