A flexible individual is required for an expanding scientific accessory manufacturing company. The role is to support production and the engineering team with bespoke components, work in one of the assembly cells and achieve targets set by the Production Manager.
Responsibilities
* Operate a manual centre lathe and manual milling machine.
* Manufacture prototype components, one off items and small batches of components.
* Carry out mechanical assembly tasks.
* Ensuring adherence to the manufacturing documentation system and general operating procedure at all times.
Required Experience and Skills
* Ideally completed a time served apprenticeship
* Experience in producing small precision components
* Will have experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience of using a wide variety of different metals and alloys
* Will be fully competent in the use and have extensive experience of using manual lathes and milling machines.
* Will be able to read and understand technical drawings.
* Must be able to use all types of measuring equipment, metric and imperial.
* Have a high level of personal motivation and discipline
* To carry out any other duties that may be required to support production.
