Catenary Technician

Eurotunnel manages, maintains and operates the Channel Tunnel Fixed Link Concession between
Folkestone and Coquelles, France. Opened on 6 May 1994, the Fixed Link is a rolling motorway which
transports passenger and commercial freight vehicles on board Shuttles across the Channel at 140kph,
in 35 minutes. It also allows the running of third party passenger and railfreight trains. The advantages
of the Channel Tunnel are security, reliability, speed, frequency and respect for the environment.

Eurotunnel is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technician to join its Catenary department.
Working at our Terminal in Folkestone you will be part of a team of Technicians employed to carry out
preventative and corrective maintenance on the catenary equipment to ensure that it is operating
correctly at all times. Much of the maintenance is undertaken at night and weekends so you must be
prepared to work unsocial hours and also participate in an on call rota.
You must have a qualification at ONC/BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in power electronics, electrical
engineering or electrical mechanics.
