Excellent opportunity for an Interim qualified Accountant to support the Group Finance Director and Senior Finance Managers of a large organisation, with over 600 staff in Mid Kent

You will be providing targeted financial analysis, financial challenge, reporting and governance support to the business.

Duties will include:

* Providing support to the Group Finance Director and Finance Senior Management team as directed to support ad hoc strategic projects often to very tight timescales
* Preparation of management accounts
* Reviewing controls and processes in order to make improvements
* Providing commercial support to the senior managers of Group businesses
* Preparing cash flow forecasts
* Liaising with the internal and external auditors
* Ensuring that corporate and divisional financial deadlines are met on time
* Developing financial reports as required to support decision making
* Assisting with budget and forecast preparation
* Assisting with preparation of financial analysis to support investment group business cases
* Preparation of incisive and user-friendly management information, meaningful financial analysis, input and advice
* Preparation of financial models to support bids for new opportunities

It is essential that you are qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with post qualification experience within a similar role.

You will be fully conversant with all aspects of monthly accounts, including full variance analysis and maintenance of key balance sheet controls. It is imperative that you have a good understanding of financial control and the application of control principles in a financial reporting environment. Advanced Excel skills are essential.

You will have a high level of confidence and agility to hit the ground running, creating order out of chaos, on multiple projects that you may not have seen before. This is not a run of the mill role, and requires someone with high initiative that can also engage with people around them.
