Reinsurance Technical Manager

This role combines managerial responsibility for a team of 4 reinsurance technicians based in London together with oversight and liaison with a technical support function based overseas.
This role encompasses post placement support together with claims recoveries;
·Creation of client documentation, premium documentation, addendums and Evidence of Cover;
·Validation and completion of risk data in the broker operating system;
·Validation of proportional treaty and non-proportional accounts received against contract documentation.
·Accurate processing of such accounts.
·Production of accurate settlement documentation and obtaining client or market agreement to the transaction, as necessary.
·Arrange collections and payments.
·Process premium transactions.
·Monitor PPW's, NPI,NCB's etc
·Creating and processing claims recovery documentation.
·Creation of Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance Scheme (LORS) transactions for Lloyd's Clients.
·Effect settlement of cleared and matched funds to Bureaux Underwriters - 'de-linked' or cash.
·Monitor signing messages from Lloyd's Clients via Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance Scheme (LORS) and Bureaux (Lloyd's/Institute of London Underwriters (ILU) and London International Insurance and Reinsurance Market Association (LIRMA)) via the broker operating system;
·Respond on queries raised by the Client, Underwriters and internal stakeholders and support colleagues in the overseas technical division.
·Check renewal statistics and produce ad-hoc reports as requested.

This is a technical role and as such candidates must have strong experience that incorporates all the above duties and responsibilities for both proportional and non-proportional reinsurance accounts. Further, as a team manager you will be expected to assume responsibility for the more complex placements and resolve more challenging queries, together with providing leadership. It is therefore, essential that applicants possess managerial experience.
