Team Leader
Sittingbourne – Bennett Opie Ltd, Production Department
Description
Working in our Food Production Plant in Sittingbourne – overseeing a small team
Responsibilities:-
Training
• To ensure the weekly production programme is produced on a daily basis to instructions issued by the Cell Leader
• To work closely with your team to maintain the high standards of our finished products at all times to the standards which are specified by Quality Control
• To ensure your team is fully trained and competent in their particular duties
• To ensure your team is given clear instructions as to their responsibilities and objectives
• To ensure your team have a full understanding of their responsibilities for Food Safety & Hygiene within the whole manufacturing area and are aware of the risks when dealing with allergenic products
• To ensure your team is working in a safe environment
• To ensure any machine faults are reported immediately to a Cell Leader or Machine Setter
• To ensure all machinery and equipment is clean at the end of each shift. Making sure all cleaning equipment is returned to its correct place
• To continually monitor accuracy of machine fill weights and output
• To ensure all glass breakages are reported to a Cell Leader and noted on the MARCO system. Ensure you team are fully aware of the glass breakage procedure
• To ensure all timings and downtime records are noted for each works order
• To ensure works order data sheets are correctly completed and are accurate
• To liaise with Cell Leader to ensure machines are changed in time for production to minimize down times
• To maintain good working practices and discipline within your team with the assistance of a Cell Leader
• Where necessary liaise with other Team Leaders or Cell Leaders to ensure continued production and output is achieved
Skills and Experience:-
• Appreciation for Health and Safety requirements and compliance
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
• Experience in a similar supervisory job role is essential
• Must have experience within the food industry or FMCG
• Ability and confidence to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Good computer skills
