D365 Functional Consultant - Finance

Location: Hybrid - Home & Ashford

Clearance: BPSS

Max Rate: £600 per day Inside IR35

Duration: 6 months (extensions possible)

I am working with a key consultancy client who are seeking an experienced D365 Finance Functional Consultant to take ownership of the Finance workstream within a large‑scale transformation programme. The consultant will lead planning, coordination, and delivery of all Finance-related activities, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and programme objectives.This is a highly strategic and hands-on role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, deep D365 Finance expertise, and the ability to manage RAID items while driving successful workstream outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the Finance workstream, ensuring delivery of all functional planning and outputs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional programme teams to define scope and validate requirements.
* Coordinate and track implementation activities for Finance, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
* Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) across all D365 Finance areas.
* Review and validate Functional Design Documents and other artefacts.
* Manage and maintain RAID logs, actively mitigating risks and resolving issues.
* Ensure alignment with business stakeholders and programme governance processes.
