Position Summary:
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Draughtsperson with working experience of SolidWorks software and Sodick wire EDM. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing precision tooling components, reading and preparing technical drawings to provide the production team with accurate, manufacturable drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks
• Prepare accurate technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Work closely with engineers and machinists to ensure design feasibility
• Interpret customer drawings and specifications for tooling design
• Set up and operate Sodick wire EDM machines when required
• Assist in continuous improvement of design and manufacturing processes
Requirements:
• Proven experience with SolidWorks CAD software
• Hands-on experience operating Sodick wire eroders (EDM)
• Strong understanding of precision engineering and tooling design
• Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings
• High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
• Background in toolmaking or precision manufacturing
• Familiarity with ISO standards for technical documentation
