An opportunity for an experienced UK commercial underwriter to build and develop their career within an established insurance company based in the City of London.

The underwriting department is a fast-paced and dynamic environment working with a network of broker partners and dua cover holders.

Overview

* Underwrite a range of specialist commercial lines products within agreed limits.
* Proactively manage and develop relationships with broker partners
* Underwrite referrals from cover holders for risks that fall outside delegated authority limits
* Conduct cover holder reviews to ensure effective performance of schemes

What you need to show

* Solid experience of underwriting UK commercial risks
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management
* Strong negotiating skills and abilities to empathise and influence
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting set goals

What is on offer

* Salary can range from £45,000 to £65,000, depending on skills set and level of expertise
