Our client, a growing construction consultancy has an upcoming role for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.
Experience of working on Offices and Hospitality, hotel and residential projects is vital as is using the JCT form of contract.
Reporting directly to the Founding Director, Responsibilities would include:
* Project lead for quantity surveying, project management and contract administration services from design/planning stage to completion.
* Representing the business at design team and progress meetings including preparing agendas and minutes.
* Assisting in securing new and repeat business development.
* Managing all pre-contract and post contract services across the various RIBA stages
* Cost planning, tendering, estimating, interim valuations, cost reporting, managing and assessing variations and claims, issuing construction, certificates, notices etc.
Duties will include:
* Assisting with construction and contract administration
* Settlement of construction disputes
* Contributing to reviews of the appointment documentation
* Assisting in securing new and repeat business
* Reporting directly to the Project Manager
* Early warning letters
* Arranging off site material visits and payment
Qualifications for Quantity Surveyor:
* Working towards MRICS
* Experience of delivering projects under the JCT form of contract
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
* Capability of leading projects and working on own initiative but also able to work on own initiative
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills
Salary £40,000 - 45,000
Hours Monday to Friday 8am-4.30 with flexibility to work out of hours should the need arise.
