A leading Commercial Media company specialising in outdoor digital advertising seeks an Experienced Contracts manager to manage their in-house construction team in the South East region. Typical projects include a range of digital advertising structures such as bus shelters & various types of digital billboards. The construction division oversees the planning, programming, and installation of the equipment prior to handover to the advertising teams.
Working with a variety of retail, commercial and public sector clients, the business has an extremely healthy order book and balance sheet & this presents a unique opportunity in the current market. At the heart of this role is customer satisfaction & best service, ensuring the smooth & organised installation & handover.
Working from a Home office, local depot or Site this is a hybrid role offering complete flexibility for the right candidate.
Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, building, installation, and corrective action programs across all South East Projects. Ensuring specialist projects are built within budget & programme to the highest quality. You will create project plans including programme, budget and resources, carrying out regular quality inspections and audits (via the on-site managers).
You will lead and develop the construction team, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Dealing with the unique issues and challenges each project brings.
You will ensure projects are in compliance with Construction Design Management regulations (CDM, 2015), Health and Safety, and industry standards at every stage of the build process.
Ensuring projects have the latest installation specifications, manuals, and technical information.
You will manage the regional construction budget through monthly forecast reporting, ensuring all relevant parties have accurate information.This is a hybrid role, allowing work from home and travelling to various sites and depots as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record in delivering multiple projects from a contract or operations manager role, You will have a good understanding of the civil, public realms or highway maintenance sectors and be comfortable leading construction teams. You will ideally hold a degree or master's in construction management, civil engineering or an associated field and be a member of a professional institution such as the CIOB or APM.
