Shift Pattern: 6am-2pm – 2pm to 10pm
My client is looking for a dedicated Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency. You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working to keep the plant running smoothly throughout your shift.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on machines to reduce downtime.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health and safety standards and regulations.
• Work closely with the production team to prioritize and address equipment issues.
• Document maintenance work, including repairs, parts used, and equipment status.
• Support initiatives to improve plant performance and equipment reliability.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Maintain and manage spare parts inventory and tools for effective maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with other engineers and shift managers to ensure smooth shift transitions.
Skills and Qualifications
• Experience: Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, pumps, fans, fabrication and sheet metal.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
