Quality Inspector
• Job Type: Full-time, permanent
• Location: Hythe
• Salary: £26,400
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Quality Inspector to join our clients Quality Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all components produced meet our high-quality standards and are in full compliance with customer specifications. This role requires a proactive individual who is willing to move around the company’s three quality areas to gain comprehensive knowledge of QC procedures.
Day to Day of the Quality Inspector role:
• Verify the quality of components produced, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
• Utilise specialist measuring equipment such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and others to verify dimensions.
• Conduct goods inwards inspection of materials and components received from suppliers.
• Inspect components before dispatch to customers and record any non-conforming products.
• Identify causes of non-conformance and recommend actions during 8D investigation meetings.
• Assist with the calibration of company equipment as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications of the Quality Inspector:
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings.
• Proficiency in using a range of specialist measuring equipment.
• Good understanding of mathematics and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities.
