Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Medway, Kent for a Class 1 Driver (London work only.)
This role to start initially for holiday cover and has the opportunity of permanent work after a qualifying period.
Our client offers an immediate start, and the working week is Monday to Friday starting between 05:00 - 06:00 hours and will involve working every second Saturday.
The role:
• Driving a flatbed trailer to deliver scaffolding in Central London and the surrounding areas so excellent geographical knowledge and roadcraft is essential for this position
• This role is a driving role only but will involve loading the vehicle and restraining of products or a possible trailer change
• Immediate start available
• Monday to Friday starting between 05:00 - 06:00am
• This will involve working every second Saturday
A successful candidate will have:
• A full class 1 licence
• A valid Digital Tachograph and CPC Card
• Due to insurance a successful candidate must have 2 years LGV 1 Driving experience, be 30 years of age+ and have no more than 6 points or have a DD or DR
The rate of pay for this role:
• Monday to Friday = £16.00 per hour + Holiday Pay (PAYE)
• Saturday = £21.00 per hour + Holiday Pay (PAYE)
• Sunday = £22.00 per hour + Holiday Pay (PAYE)
• Minimum 9 hours per shift
