We are working with an established manufacturing business in the Swale area who have experienced continued growth and development within the factory operations and as part of their succession planning strategy are seeking a Deputy Unit Manager to join the business. The role requires a candidate who is a people-motivator with a keen eye on developing and enhancing skills in order to drive productivity and efficiencies for continued growth trajectory.

You will be knowledgeable in implementing new production processes, with experience of continuous improvement. Working closely with the Technical Team, your knowledge of engineering drawings will be sound in order to ensure smooth production is attained with special design requirements. In addition, you will develop a strong relationship with Purchasing to control stock levels, batch traceability, production planning and ensuring end to end manufacturing processes are efficient and effective.

As a minimum, you will possess 3 years' experience from within a manufacturing environment and have knowledge of stock control, BOMs and ERP/MRP systems. Ideally you will possess a IOSH or NEBOSH qualification along with a Degree, Management Diploma, C&G or equivalent.
