Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Ashford, Kent for a Warehouse Operative (holding a 7.5 Tonne or Class 2 Driving licence.)

Our client has this vacancy based on a temp to perm with the potential of full time employment for the successful candidate after the 12 week qualification period.

This multiple role entails:

- Order Picking in ambient/ freezer temperatures (PPE for freezer provided by client)
- Assisting with loading/ unloading stock from and to the vehicle
- When driving making an average of 5-10 deliveries per day to locations in London and Home Counties
- Some heavy lifting is involved within these roles
- Covering for drivers holidays & sickness

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- A full 7.5 Tonne or Class 2 driving licence (maximum 6 points,) with valid digital tachograph and drivers qualification card
- A minimum of 3 months 7.5 Tonne or Class 2 driving experience
- Some previous warehouse experience is preferred
- Good roadcraft due to the location of the delivery points
- Flexible approach to a variety of duties as the driving start times are occasionally before 04.00am
- Fork lift certificate preferred but not essential

The rate of pay through the agency is:

- 7.5 tonne licence holder = £14 per hour (04.00 - 18.00) & £15.50 per hour (18.00 – 04.00) + holiday pay

- Class 2 licence holder = £15.50 per hour (04.00 – 18.00) & £17.50 per hour (18.00 – 04.00) + holiday pay

- Once full time the salary starts at £26,000 p.a. based on a 45 hour working week and overtime will be available during peak trading

Other details:

- This role offers and immediate start and is predominantly based within the warehouse operation and covering for drivers holidays/ sickness.

- The successful candidate will be given 1 weeks full training within driving and warehouse.

- The working week within the warehouse will be Monday to Friday starting Monday to Friday

- 09:00am – 6.00pm.

- NO WEEKENDS OR BANK HOLIDAYS
