We are currently working with a specialist manufacturing business based in Gravesend.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Trainee Metal Fabrication Technician to join their established team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Trainee Metal Fabrication Technician will be part of the team responsible for designing, prototyping, and creating finished products, using metalworking tools. You will work as part of a multi-skilled team to develop prototype design ideas for new products, either using your own initiative or in conjunction with their design team. You will also create short production runs of brackets and fixings and create bespoke solutions for customers as needed.
They will also be responsible for transporting goods and materials with the company's own fleet of vehicles - thus applicants need to have a fully valid driving license.

Your work will play an essential role in a dynamic, busy team dedicated to innovating and keeping ahead in a highly competitive marketplace. Creativity and the ability to work well with others are essential qualities.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Valid driving license (full, manual) (MUST)Metal Fabrication experience (Advantageous)
Excellent teamwork skills, the ability to share ideas and incorporate others' ideas into
your work. Work well with others, even under pressure.
Self-motivated and able to keep busy without being micro-managed.
Good experience and/or education in a relevant discipline.
An inquiring mind and a flair for problem-solving are essential.

Hours for this role are 8.30am - 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.45pm on Fridays.
