Role: Utilities Operator
Contract: Fixed-term (initially until 31/12/24)
Location: Near Maidstone
Hours: Mixed of days and nights
Salary: £Competitive + Benefits
My client, an international leading manufacturing company based in the outskirts of Maidstone is currently recruiting for an experienced Utilities Operator to join their rapidly expanding company.
Your role will involve operating and maintaining all utilities equipment/systems independently under the general supervision of the utilities senior operator to enable their efficient operation.
Duties include:
- Ensure steady supply of water to the CHP demineralisation storage tanks
- Ensure that good quality water is supplied to the boilers are within parameters
- Ensure effective housekeeping practice in the CHP plant at all times
- Write SOP and risk assessments for the water treatment plant with the supervision of the senior plant operator
- Carry out routine sampling to support plant performance.
- Flexible to work on an on-call rota to support business needs
- Ensure all daily checks for the plant are completed and any defect is escalated
Candidate Profile:
- OND & GCSE certified
- 1 - 5 years experience in a similar position
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient IT skills
- Team player
