Activities & Engagement Co-ordinator (£31,159 per-annum, full-time, permanent)

Your new company

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to create and maintain an activity programme to enhance the lives of our residents within our older people's schemes across Kent. You will be working with a growing Housing Association who have prioritised excellent provision of housing for Older People as one of their strategic objectives.

A great package is available- generous pension and life cover, health cash plan, flexible leave package which includes an additional three days leave for Christmas closure, paid time off to volunteer and an annual grant to support your wellbeing.

This role will involve travelling to multiple sites across Kent and some hybrid working. Therefore, the successful applicant will need a full UK driving license and access to a car.

37 hours per week: Monday -Thursday 8.45am - 5.15pm and Friday 8.45am - 4.45pm. You may at times need to attend evening or weekend activities which can be claimed back as toil.

Your new role

* Develop and maintain a varied activities programme which links in with the local community and encourages tenants to support their own activities, including Dementia friendly activities.
* Deliver positive outcomes for tenants through the creation and implementation of an activities programme.
* Ensure all activities are accessible and available to all tenants, including those with mobility issues and Dementia.
* Attend regular team meetings at each scheme to promote good ideas and give feedback on activities programme.
* Build positive working relationships with the scheme manager, teams and providers within the community to ensure residents receive an encompassing service.
* Promote activities in the local community to develop social integrations and promoting the communal facilities at some schemes.
* Create and promote tenant participation to empower them to take ownership of activities to eventually lead on these their selves.
* Collaborate with Extra Care Team Manager to measure resident satisfaction on activities using feedback methods.
* Engage and develop friendly and respectful relationships with the tenants.
* Ensure all tenants receive a positive customer experience.

What you'll need to succeed

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor written and verbal communication to suit individual needs.
* Experience in setting up and delivering a programme of activities
* Demonstrate ability to analyse and prioritise workload and be able to work under pressure.
* Takes practical, solution focused approach to solving issues in a timely manner.
* Ability to build relationships and gain trust while maintaining professional boundaries.
* Ability to make confident decisions in any situation using sound judgement.
* Commitment to applying equality and diversity to customer service.
* Knowledge of health and safety.
* Knowledge of data protection regulations and experience of dealing with confidential information
* Experience of working towards team goals and key performance indicators
