Distribution Centre Supervisor

5pm-5am – 4 on 4 off shift pattern
≤ £36k

Our client are looking for an experienced and motivated Supervisor to join their Distribution Centre Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent leadership skills and a passion for ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Duties include:
• Oversee and coordinate daily activities within the distribution centre, ensuring efficient and timely order fulfilment and inventory management.
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals and targets.
• Schedule and allocate tasks to warehouse personnel, ensuring productivity and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to ensure optimal stock levels and accurate record-keeping.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and implementing training programs as necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Utilise warehouse management systems and technology to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, and inventory, and implement corrective actions when required.
• Any other duties required.

The successful candidate will have / be:
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a distribution centre or warehouse environment.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems and related software.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to warehouse operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
