Electrical Shift Engineer
Salary: £41,268 + £9,478 SA
40hrs per week (Average)
12 Hours Shifts alternating days and nights for three weeks, then a 9-day break

The company is looking for a candidate with a background in Construction or Manufacturing.

The main responsibilities of the role include monitoring the plant and providing breakdown assistance, carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance to all electrical plants, ensuring personnel safety, complying with the company safety policy and health and safety regulations, monitoring plant performance, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, providing hands-on electrical support during shutdown periods and weekly maintenance breaks, and performing other duties as requested by supervision.

The ideal candidate should be a time-served maintenance craft team member with ONC/NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years' experience in plant maintenance/project work. They should also have knowledge of health and safety and industry legislation, good communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and a good secondary education. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and maintenance PPM packages is also required.

Before the interview, the candidate should research the company and its products, as well as the role and its responsibilities. They should also prepare to discuss their relevant experience and qualifications, as well as their problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team. Additionally, they should be ready to discuss their knowledge of health and safety and industry regulations, as well as their ability to operate and maintain electrical plants and equipment.
