A highly successful engineering company in Medway Towns is looking to recruit a CAD Layout Designer on a permanent basis.
You are responsible for processing approved drawings through the layout and CNC Punching process for factory manufacture.
Ideally you will understand approved engineering drawings, have knowledge of Auto Cad, CNC punch programming and the folding press. Previous manufacturing experience working with metals is desirable and you will be IT literate.
You will be self-driven, with a positive outlook, ability to learn new skills and have a focus on quality with attention to detail.
Your duties will include:
* To draw the component sheet metal parts required to assemble the product.
* To efficiently programme & nest the parts for punching to utilise the least amount of material required.
* To utilise the provided software packages to achieve this process.
* To ensure all input information is correct to enable the following folding & assembly processes to be completed successfully.
* To work with R and D to develop new products when appropriate.
The hours of work are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday with overtime offered at an enhanced rate.
The company offers excellent benefits, overtime paid at an enhanced rate and 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
