We are recruiting on behalf of a very successful engineering company based in Medway Towns for a Solidworks Operative to commence employment on a permanent basis.
The company offers excellent benefits and training. The hours of work are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime offered and paid at an enhanced rate.
The main purpose of the role is to assist the CAD layout team in creating visual models of products using Solidworks.
Your duties will include:
* To create visual 3D models using Solidworks from 2D Autocad drawings
* To fully utilise solidworks functions to achieve this process.
* To ensure all input information is correct to enable the following folding & assembly processes to be completed successfully.
* Review and revise designs to avoid manufacturing deficiencies.
* To work with R and D to develop new products when appropriate
You will have a good understanding of Solidworks, Auto Cad and ideally have experience of operating/programming the CNC Punch Machine. In addition to this you will be able to read technical drawings, be IT Literate, have knowledge of the folding press and ideally have previous manufacturing experience within a metal work environment.
The company has a first class remuneration package including 26 days annual leave plus Bank holidays.
