Salary & Work Hours

* £32,000 - £47,500
* Working hours 9:00 am - 5:00pm
* 35 Hours per week

What you need: We are seeking an experienced, dedicated structural engineer to join us, working with some of the largest retailers in the country. We have a consistently growing and varied workload, mostly in the retail & commercial sectors, which will appeal to those wishing to develop and enhance their knowledge, skills and career. The practice delivers a first-class service to its reputable clients, resulting in an excellent client base and long-standing relationships. You will need to be commercially minded and have experience using Tekla Structures, TEDDS, Revit.

Job Responsibilities:

* Undertake detailed structural engineering design on retail / commercial projects
* Prepare technical schedules, reports and designs at a variety of project work stages
* Plan and help manage production of CAD / BIM models and documentation, working closely in conjunction with technicians

* Represent the company at meetings with clients, suppliers and other 3rd parties

* Ensure an excellent level of service is delivered consistently, design decisions are met, and project work is carried out within the agreed
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of structural design using a variety of building materials including traditional build, steel frame,

* deadlines and budgets
* Proficient in Tekla or alternative building modelling software

* reinforced concrete and timber frames, ideally working with significant structures.

* Ability to accept a degree of responsibility in a team-based organisation, combined with ability to work independently
* Able to take on some responsibilities in managing financial aspects of some projects preferable
* Minimum 5 years' experience
