Supply Chain and Stores Manager
Ashford (drivers with own transport only due to location)
£35-40k
8.30-5pm Monday to Friday

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain and Stores Manager to join a rapidly expanding Manufacturing company based in Ashford. This role requires a Manufacturing or Engineering background, with a meticulous attention to detail; the position has the opportunity to grow long term for the right person! This role reports into the Head of Production Operations, and is a senior role with a good level of responsibility.

As Supply Chain and Stores Manager, day to day you will be carried out a range of duties, including:

• Managing all stock including but not limited to consumables, engineering components, raw materials, subcontracted fabrication materials end to end ensuring supply meets demand as well as having responsibility for stock value control
• Raising orders, all associated administration and ensuring timely delivery
• Extensive use of WMS system for planning and stock management
• Using your experience to suggest and implement stock control processes and monitor stock replenishment as required as per ISO9001:2015 standards
• Booking in deliveries including organised communication internally. Managing the Quality checking of inbound goods.
• Supporting the implementation of effective H&S process
• All inventory and stock associated reporting using Excel and WMS
• Overseeing day to day operations within the Warehouse Team, pre-assembly areas, working closely with senior management in order to feedback and continuously improve efficiencies

The Supply Chain and Stores Manager will:

• Be an experienced multi-tasker with Supply chain experience and project manager capabilities with a background in Engineering or Manufacturing environments
• Ideally have some sort of Engineering qualification, although this isn’t essential
• Be ambitious and career focused, looking for a long term opportunity
• Have a good level of integrity with a strong work ethic and a meticulous attention to detail
• Have excellent IT skills, with a good understanding of how good tech application can support processes and the ability to use formulas and functions on Excel
• Have excellent numeracy and cost calculation skills with a good commercial acumen
• Have a calm personality, able to keep your cool in pressured environments and deal with problems in a solutions led, efficient way
• Be super organised, logical and methodical
• Use your initiative in order to improve processes!
