Regional Nurse Manager – Kent

This Job Has Expired! This advert has now been deleted by the advertiser, the details below are for information only.

Superior Healthcare provide complex care at home with a team of nurses and cares to support clients who live with life limiting conditions and require around the clock support.

It’s our aim to be the best in the industry, having our own experience of care at home following a traumatic accident as a family means that we strive for quality in a way that others can’t – for us it’s personal.

We are looking for an exemplary and experienced nurse to join our team and provide leadership and support for the team of nurse managers and the employees that they direct.

We’re searching for someone with specialist skills and understanding, as we know that community complex care is a niche area.

It goes without saying that you’ll be clinically competent and have a strong awareness of what it takes to build a great care team and run a safe and effective care package in the community. You will also have built strong relationships with commissioners and have a good understanding of commissioning with both NHS and private funders. We’re also looking for a leader, someone who is happy to get hands on when needed, but who understands that you achieve more by up-skilling and supporting those that report into you.

If you think that you’ve got what it takes for the challenge – contact Adele Blythe for an initial conversation adeleblythe@superiorhealthcare.co.uk.

About Us

Superior Healthcare was founded in 2006 by Stewart Thorp, his father Charles and Sarah Richards in response to their experience of caring for Stewart’s brother and Charles’ son, Alex, who has an acquired brain injury.

From their personal experience, Charles and Stewart identified the importance of a specialised care service that would bridge the gap between independent care providers and national organisations and in 2006, Superior Healthcare was founded with the objective of providing specialised services for people who have complex and long term health needs.

Since then, we have worked with children, young people, adults and their families to provide twenty-four hour and respite care, which supports people during rehabilitation or to maintain their health, as well as providing a dignified service for people approaching the end of their lives.

At Superior Healthcare, providing a high-quality service is a personal goal.

About Superior Complex Care

Each week, our team deliver over 8,000 hours of nurse led complex care to clients who live with life limiting conditions in the community. Over the last 2 years, we’ve expanded from our 3 offices in Kent to support clients living across the Southeast in Essex, Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. As we know providing safe, effective care is down to having enough people in the field, we’ve built an effective support structure of senior carers, rapid response carers, field care supervisors and nurse managers to ensure our clients receive the care they deserve from someone that understands their needs. We ensure there is enough oversight by keeping our nurse manager caseloads to less than 1,000 hours or 10 clients – allowing them to properly support their teams. Quality is at the heart of what we do.

Your role will include

  • Management and leadership of the nurse management team based in Kent

  • Maintaining a hight level of clinical Quality and Governance, working with the registered manager

  • Working with designated safeguarding lead to manage complaints and concerns, ensuring learnings are cascaded through the wider team

  • Liaising with clients and their families

  • Commitment to your own personal development as well as the team that you support

  • Attending relevant MDT meetings with healthcare professionals

  • Holding higher level conversations with commissioners both NHS and private to aid with the growth of the business

  • Working to ensure deadlines are met with the implementation of new care packages

  • Being on call for clinical enquiries, should you team need you

What we’re looking for

  • A leader who shares our values –  “A passion for quality”, “One Family” and “Inspiring Leadership”

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

  • Someone who is able to have a difficult conversation when they are needed, remaining compassionate and understanding

  • Experience working within “Complex Care in the Community” providing 24-hour care to patients with complex health needs

  • Excellent clinical knowledge, particular in relation to complex care at home/long term ventilation

  • Someone who has a strong work ethic and is willing to go the extra mile that our care teams must

  • You will need a valid NMC PIN number, driving license with less than 6 points and be subject to an enhanced DBS

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of £49.5K-£54K

  • Full training and induction programme

  • Access to training and supervision along with our commitment to supporting ongoing personal development

  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

  • Your birthday off

  • Company pension scheme

  • Generous refer-a-friend scheme

  • Company laptop, tablet and mobile phone

  • Company car and travel expenses

  • Meeting rooms and training facilities at your disposal

  • The opportunity to plan your own diary

  • Frequent social events

  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme

  • Discounts on goods and services offered by third parties

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates regardless of their race, sex, disabilities, and religions/beliefs, sexual orientation or age. We are committed to continuously improving our inclusion and diversity practices.

If you think your skills and experience match the requirements of this role, then we would love to hear from you. For more information about Superior Healthcare and/or the role itself, please contact Adele Blythe, Head of Complex Care at adeleblythe@superiorhealthcare.co.uk.
