The Role

Are you looking to build your career within a HR Operations role? Do you want to a join a growing Multi-Academy Trust at an exciting time? Then we have a role that may interest you!

We are looking for a Pensions Administrator to join us and deliver a professional and efficient service to our schools, central services team and external customers. You will work within our Payroll Team and continue offering a customer focused service to our stakeholders.

This position can be based either in Portsmouth at The Portsmouth Academy or in Chatham on the site of New Horizons Children’s Academy. As an organisation we support Hybrid working and this is available for this role.

Your new role

You will provide an accurate and timely administrative service for our pension schemes.

You will provide communications and information for scheme members within our Trust. Working within the HR Operations and Payroll team you will answer queries and complete monthly returns to the appropriate pension provider.

You will also lead the administration of monthly pension checks as part of the monthly payroll run. You will also offer support to the wider operations team as and when required.

Our Team

The HR Team is split in to specialisms of Employee Relations, Recruitment and the HR Operations and Payroll team who you will be joining. This is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to use their administration knowledge to forge a career in HR Operations and Payroll or someone with payroll experience.

What you will need to succeed:

· Experience of working in an administrative role within an office environment

· The ability to communicate complex information to staff in a way they can understand

· Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the regulations of the Local Government Pension Scheme and Teachers Pension Scheme

· Experience within the education sector would be beneficial but is not essential

· Hardworking individual, quick to learn and motivated to deliver a high level of support to our schools and external customers

· Be customer service focused and provide a service that aligns with our customer service values – Trusted, Solution Focused, Approachable and Timely

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes

· Able to work independently and as part of a team

· Able to maintain confidentiality inside and outside of the workplace

· Experience of using a computerised administration system
