Dartford Primary Academy has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide support for pupils within our school. We welcome applications for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated SEND and Inclusion team. The person we appoint will have a love of working with children and the ability to inspire learning and support development. They will have high expectations of themselves and of children to enable every child to be fully included and to reach their potential, whilst showing initiative and adaptability and be committed to working as a member of a team. We are also looking for the successful applicant to have a proven high standard of both spoken and written English and Mathematics. Being able to communicate effectively with children and adults is essential, together with a friendly and approachable manner. The successful candidate will be able to work using their own initiative and can demonstrate effective behaviour management skills. In return, they will join a supportive environment with plenty of development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust.

This is a fixed-term position until July 2023 and offers an actual salary of £8,240 per annum (£20,189 full-time equivalent), working 17.5 hours per week during term time only.

Our successful SEN TA will only be required to work in the morning, so this would be a perfect fit for someone looking for working hours that fit around the school run. The proposed working hours are 08.30am - 12.00pm, but we can be flexible on start times and open to suggestions.
