Background
Security and Facilities Services are an integral part of the larger Estates and Facilities Department. They are responsible for supporting and delivering all aspects of security and facilities related services throughout Canterbury. The Security and Facilities Services Team aims to offer and deliver a flexible, value added and professional service to meet the need and expectations of students, staff and visitors.
We are currently looking to recruit a Security Receptionist / Administrator to our team. The successful candidate will have experience in a related customer service-based area as well as demonstrable administration skills.
The Role
Applicants will be able to demonstrate their customer focused skills together with the ability to communicate verbally, with confidence, at all levels of the organisation.
Applicants must be able to maintain the highest personal standards representing the front facing service of the University and to demonstrate the ability to deal with difficult and occasional stressful circumstances. The ability to remain calm in an emergency situation is paramount.
The Person
Candidates will be motivated, a team player, target driven and keen to learn and develop new or existing professional skills.
Prior consideration for interview will be given to those in the University redeployment pool.
