Electrical Design Manager

Location - Kent

Salary - up to £50,000

Atlas Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Manager on behalf of our exciting electrical manufacturing specialist. My client specialises in manufacture of electrical power, monitoring and control products for marine, vehicle and industrial applications. In the last few years, they have seen exponential growth in hybrid systems for industries including construction.



Electrical Design Manager Job Role

* As an experienced electrical designer you will have direct responsibility for larger hybrid projects - both land and marine based systems, typically focussed around Danfoss drive technology.
* Technical lead of the electrical design team.
* Managing the wider mechanical and software engineering staff
* Support the Engineering Manager to bring 'Lean' processes into the engineering department
* Work with the rest of the engineering department to ensure company wide efficiencies through improvements in processes, material selection and technology.



Electrical Design Manager skills and qualifications

* A degree in electrical engineering
* Experience with drive technology
* Ideally, experience with battery systems, typically in the 300 - 700V range
* Design using EPlan (AutoCAD for legacy projects)
* Design of electrical control panels and switchgear
