The Role
We are looking for a Chef to join our well-established Estates and Facilities Directorate at Canterbury Christ Church University
You will work as part of a team in the food and beverage outlets across the Canterbury Campus providing catering and hospitality services. The Post of Chef will be based at St Georges lounge and bar but will involve working in any of the Catering kitchen’s that include food court, Atrium Cafe, Food Trailer, hospitality, banquets and functions. The hours of work will predominantly be 12.00-20.00 Monday to Friday but will involve some earlier starts and occasional weekends.
The Person
We are searching for a highly motivated individual with a flexible approach and be able to meet the expectations of providing a consistent and quality service to students, staff and external visitors.
The ideal candidate will be:
Customer focused.
Delivering a first-class service to students, staff and external clients.
Working with the Chef de parties in any kitchen to agreed menu’s and specifications.
Willingness to learn new skills and develop as an individual.
Working with the Team to maximise student experience.
Team player to be consistently working with colleagues to ensure the best service is offered.
Be able to work alone and still maintain high standards of service.
