Job Title: Events Manager

Location: Rye, 2 days in the office, 3 days WFH

Salary: £35k-£38k

Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours a week, core hours between 10am-12pm, 2pm-4pm

Team: A professional, inspirational, imaginative and passionate events team of 14. We've recruited for this company for 4 years, they provide incredible induction training, as well as further development opportunities, your annual leave increases by 1 day each year (from 20 days+BH's) as well as Employee appreciation events. They also encourage suggestions and ideas for the companies continued success.

Purpose of the role: As an Event Manager, you will bring events to life by producing conferences and social events delivered to audiences around the globe in Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific. You will therefore need to be willing to travel extensively and stay away from home for what may sometimes be extensive periods of time. On the other side of the event spectrum, you will be able to utilise and further develop your tech skills by delivering a range of engaging digital events.

Key responsibilities as the Events Manager:

* Working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results, oversee execution from start to finish, from creating concepts and themes to on-site support.
* Establish and manage complex budgets, often in multiple currencies.
* Research, select, negotiate with, and manage external venues, partners and vendors both in the UK and worldwide.
* Manage and support internal team members to ensure their tasks are delivered to the client brief, budget and within the set timeline.
* Lead the delivery of your assigned events either on-site (physical and hybrid events) or remotely (digital events).
* Constantly strive to advance your knowledge of our industry.

Our client is seeking a candidate with the following:

* Experience at Event manager level, ideally with an event agency.
* A proven track record of managing high value and high-end events.
* Excellent budgeting skills in multiple currencies.
* Excellent computer skills.
* Virtual event management experience.
* A practical head.
* Highly organised and accurate with excellent attention to detail.
* An 'Above the Line' attitude with a proactive, confident, solution-driven approach.
* Great people and communication skills.
* Highly motivated team player that enjoys working as part of a small team.
* Resilient and able to face problems by providing solutions.
* Ideally, you will be located within a one-hour commute of Rye, East Sussex.
* …and it would be absolutely amazing if you were also able to communicate fluently in either Spanish or French
