Registry Services – Assessment Manager

Full Time – 1 FTE (37 hours)
£35,333 – 37,474 per annum (Additional market supplement available dependent on skills and experience)
An exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Assessment Manager has arisen here at Canterbury Christ Church University. This pivotal role will help shape the delivery of our assessment processes in our new student database. Working with motivated teams to ensure that our policies and procedures meet the needs of our stakeholders and places students front and centre of our service design, achieving this through effective and colligate administration
The Role
The Assessments Manager will be supporting, at a management level, the central assessment team to bring consistency, enhancements and efficiencies to a number of core student processes delivered centrally and within faculties.
The role provides high level support to the Head of Assessment Administration by managing the day-to-day operational delivery of institution-wide processes, ensuring business-critical activities are delivered to agreed timescales, ensuring data quality in key processes and deputising for the Head of Assessment in their absence.
The role will work in partnership with a wide range of internal teams to support the business needs (e.g. accessing online results, reporting for boards of examiners, delivery of examination timetables).
The Person
The post holder will work across multiple projects and workstreams, identifying and leading key areas for development and enhancement within the Assessment Teams remit. They will have proven experience of working in a related role, ideally within Higher Education, and experience in drafting policy and regulation. The post holder be confident with IT systems, including experience with complex databases. The post holder is responsible for developing and maintaining effective systems and procedures to support our stakeholders.
Ability to analysis complex data sets and produce reports reflecting these.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organised and able to work flexibly under pressure to deliver results.
The ability to lead and motivate a team.
