The Academic Development section of Learning Teaching Enhancement (LTE) leads on development, enhancement and innovation in learning and teaching across the institution. LTE are responsible for the development and delivery of a wide programme of work to ensure that academic staff and those supporting learning have access to a range of centrally provided CPD resources to support their learning and teaching roles, curriculum development and the leadership of programmes of study.


In turn, this supports the institutional need to assure and enhance teaching excellence across the University, guided by implementation plans for the University’s Learning, Teaching Strategy (2015-2022) (currently being reviewed), preparation for the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), and associated commitments to support the student learning experience.


The Role


Reporting to the Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching, key responsibilities will be to develop and deliver a growing programme of work to ensure that academic staff and those supporting learning have full access to a range of centrally provided CPD resources to support their learning and teaching roles, curriculum development leadership of programmes of study.


The Person


You will be higher degree qualified (or equivalent) who has an excellent track record of championing excellence in learning and teaching within HE and is also passionate about improving student outcomes. You must have a Senior Fellowship of Advance HE (or near completion).


Desirable requirements: A teaching qualification in post-compulsory or Higher Education, a PhD or institutional wide experience on leading on learning and teaching enhancements would also be advantageous.
