We're recruiting a Strategic Procurement Manager (Materials and Components Buyer) to join our Development team at Latimer, Clarion's Development arm.

As Strategic Procurement Manager, you'll provide procurement and commercial support for Clarion's new build transactions. We'll look to you to provide procurement and commercial support, negotiating and buying construction materials and components for new build developments and transactions as a member of the Design, Technical and Innovation team. You will target the delivery of financial savings against market costs, deliver value for money for the development business and create efficiency in the contract procurement process.

Working alongside Asset Management businesses, Central Procurement Team, and other support functions, you'll support procurement strategies across the entire portfolio.



Other key accountabilities will include:-



* Delivery of the Development business Procurement Strategy to negotiate with key suppliers and manufacturers, securing agreements for the supply of those components for the development pipeline of projects



* Alignment with the Group Procurement Strategy to increase the value for Clarion in the procurement of materials and services related to our build and regeneration programmes.



* Support the delivery of an Energy, Infrastructure and Technology procurement strategy including network operator, manufacturers and suppliers.



* Support the Strategic Procurement strategy within the development team, work closely with project commercial teams with developing cost plans, and supplier liaison.



* Support long-term partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers to foster two-way feedback and monitor supplier performance. Establish framework arrangements for key component procurement.



* Regular analysis of component costs and warranty arrangements to benefit Clarion Housing Group.



* Develop Warranty Structures and technical content for insurance purposes.



* Support the DT&I team in developing a centre of excellence for compliance with legislation, best practice and innovation to support the business' growth strategy.



The ideal candidate will come to us with experience of working in supply chain management, subcontract and or material buying experience as well as negotiating skills. We're looking for Specialist commercial / construction industry experience in purchasing & supply in a management role as well as pre and post contract exposure, covering product procurement, supplier and contractor management. The ability to develop and implement procurement market strategies and strong communication and organisational skills are also essential for the role.
