We have an exciting temporary opportunity working for a leading College in the Canterbury area as a Programme Director/Lecturer of Bricklaying.
You will be responsible for planning a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet the local/regional skills requirements, and the needs of the student, in liaison with the Department leadership team to support outstanding progression for students.
Responsibilities will also include leading and coordinating the delivery team, so all students receive up-to-date course information through precourse/programme events and start of course/programme activities.
This is a teaching role, with the expectation to support development of the curriculum area and develop a centre of excellence. The role will entail teaching, supporting, and assessing adult students' coursework.
You must be teacher qualified in the relevant subject, with at least one year's teaching experience post achievement of the teaching qualification. You must be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.
The hours of work are 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday with a 4.30pm finish on a Friday.
The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
