We have the opportunity for the right candidate to join our continually growing installation team within a long established air conditioning installation company with ISO9001 accreditation. We are looking for a new applicant to join what is an enthusiastic and motivated team, and the candidate must have the same enthusiasm.

Candidate must live in the Ashford/Folkestone/Maidstone (M20) area.

This full-time position (subject to satisfactory completion of 6 months initial probationary period) involves executing various installation tasks on our client’s project / construction sites located throughout the South of England. The role involves travelling to our various sites usually in our company vehicles. The management of the installation teams is from our Maidstone office. There are opportunities to enter an apprentice training scheme for candidates who possess suitable attributes and display the qualities required to progress the role to a qualified position.

Job Description

The successful applicant will be required to work under the direction / supervision of one of our senior installation engineers, providing high specification installations of DX air conditioning systems. Due to the travelling involved with the role it is necessary for the day to start early.
The following duties will include but are not limited to:

• Working under health and safety rules and regulations
• Attending mandatory training courses.
• Take instruction from other team members.
• Offloading and manual handling of materials and equipment.
• Mechanical installations of comfort cooling / air conditioning systems.
• Mechanical installation of support bracketry.
• Electrical cable installations.
• Tidying work areas and maintaining a safe site environment.

Requirements

Good GCSE grades in Maths & English are required. Common sense, attention to detail and a pro-active attitude are essential.
Preferred Skills

Some experience is preferred working in a construction site environment. A pleasant manner when dealing with customers and members of the public. Must be able to react quickly and handle pressurised situations.
