Position: Hospital Chef
Location: Barham, Kent
Hours:Â 37.5pw Mon-Fri (Flexible times, expected to work 1 weekend in 3)
Salary Details: £11.44 Per Hour
Cedar House is a 40-bed hospital for adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, personality disorders, autism and challenging behaviours, who are detained under the Mental Health Act. Cedar House enjoys a beautiful rural location situated in the village of Barham, on the outskirts of Canterbury and is easily accessible by public transport, being on the main bus route between Canterbury and Folkestone.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and talented chef to work on a full-time basis Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week, the sucessful candidate will be required to work 1 weekend in 3.
The successful applicant must have previous experience in a chef/cook position in a quality-driven establishment. The ideal candidate will need to be motivated and have a genuine passion for food and quality to make a real difference to our patients.
As the hospital Chef you will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and hygienic environment along with knowledge of all health & safety, COSHH and food hygiene and handling legislation.

Preparation of meals and cooking
Ordering of food and provisions
Ensure that all dishes are properly cooked and attractively presented
Manage the kitchen
Monitor usage and stock
Completion of all registers and logs
Daily cleaning
