Finance Assistant - Sales Ledger
KBE Drinks were established in the UK 30 years ago focussing on the European development of India’s No1 beer brand Kingfisher. Since 2016, our product portfolio has enjoyed a period of rapid expansion and now represents brands from all over the world, the majority of which are part or fully owned by leading global brewers.
Location: Hybrid working (3 days home based / 2 days Head Office). Office Location is Aylesford, Kent.
Purpose: Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, responsible for overseeing and monitoring the Sales Ledger, Credit Control and updating of product Pricing
The post holder will:
Deal with a variety of financial & administrative tasks within the department as required to satisfy the departmental & businesses objectives whilst providing effective support to colleagues at all levels
Take ownership of personal workloads, prioritising tasks as necessary to meet business needs and annual Business Plan objectives
Accountable for and focus on creating Sales Ledger invoices along with Credit Control, updating of product Pricing on to the Finance system, Credit Insurance, Direct Debits and entering receipts
Undertake banking and account reconciliations as directed, and dealing with invoice queries in an effective and timely manner
Key result areas:
Ensure good relationships are maintained with all colleagues, effectively working as part of a team being prepared to be flexible and work in the best interests of the business
Undertake reasonable duties as required by the Finance Director and Financial Controller
Assist the Financial Controller to ensure administrative policies, procedures, reports & letters in the team are continually reviewed and improved where necessary
To ensure all payments and invoices are authorised within the agreed limits as outlined by the business
To manage workloads effectively to meet deadlines
Have excellent customer skills in dealing with internal and external customers
Skills and Experience:
Education to GCSE level (5 Grades ‘C’ or above, or equivalent, including English & Maths)
AAT / NVQ 3 desirable
Proven ability to work within a relevant financial office role and customer focused environment with relevant Customer Services experience. Credit Control experience is desirable as well as dealing with Supermarkets
Relevant knowledge and experience of software applications such as Word & Excel, keyboard skills are essential
Considerable experience of working under pressure and to strict deadlines within legislative procedures and be able to prioritise workloads to achieve departmental objectives / deadlines
Strong time management skills, accurate, well organised with attention to detail
Effective communication and cross functional working skills
Experience of income, expenditure, and reconciliation
