Senior Finance Assistant, London SE1/Hybrid Working
£38,000 - £42,000pa + bonus scheme
About Us
Our client, an independent family owned business with a diverse and friendly team are recruiting for a Senior Finance Assistant to work in their head office in London.
Their growth has given rise to their Finance team needing a Senior Finance Assistant to join the team. Your role will be to support the Assistant Accountant and the Financial Controller in running an effective and efficient Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Ensure integrity of bank accounts & raising bank payments for authorisation across multiple currencies.
• Preparing VAT returns and Intrastat reports.
• Supporting the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconciliation of sales and purchase ledger control accounts
• Bank balances reconciliations.
• Generating Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors reports.
• Ad hoc reports and analysis.
• Create cost analysis reports.
• Support cashflow forecasting.
• Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to Management.
• Liaising with our bank in UK and Europe.
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in similar finance related roles
• Good systems knowledge including Access Dimensions (desirable)
• Good Excel skills.
• Team working skills.
• Experience of international banking and multiple currencies.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to changing needs.
• Ability to establish and maintain good business relationships.
• Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner.
• Excellent overall communication and presentational skills.
• Motivated, hardworking and reliable.
