Transport Planner

As the ideal candidate, you will have previous knowledge and experience of air & road freight sectors. You will need to be highly organised and require excellent communication and customer services skills, as you will be receiving deliveries from Europe and planning deliveries and routes across the UK. The ability to work under pressure within a busy transport office is imperative.

Key Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to

* Planning daily collections & deliveries
* Passing all relevant details and information to all drivers, collection/delivery address
* Updating worksheets & customer portals
* Building relationships with new and existing clients
* Monitoring collections/deliveries ensuring they are on time
* Ensure all telephone calls and emails are answered in a timely fashion
* Advising clients and team members of any delays etc and aiding in the resolution of any issues from customers & suppliers
* Updating the company Fleet Management System

Skills Required For the Role

* Excellent written and communication skills
* Highly organised, accurate and strong attention to detail
* Flexible approach to working hours
* Confident telephone manner
* Strong computer skills with a sound knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Ability to prioritise work and to meet strict deadlines
* Own Transport to get to work is essential
* Good sense of humour

Hours & Additional Benefits

Monday- Friday 08:00-17:00 and Saturday 08:30-12:00 on a rota basis

Salary

£25,000-£28,000/annum depending on experience
