Job purpose:
The primary purpose of the job holder is to assist the estimating team compiling electrical estimates and liaising closely with the senior estimating team, project managers and clients. The role will also include assessing material, labour and equipment required and analysing different quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Attributes required:
Relevant experience in electrical estimating and ideally an electrical installation background. A strong communicator with good IT skills. Ability to assist a busy service/maintenance department with advice, quotes and remedial reports for planned and reactive small works.

About the Role:
• The role will be predominantly office based with site visits required for surveys
• Managing tenders from enquiry to submission
• Estimating projects between £5k and £500k mainly within the commercial and hospitality sectors
• Conducting site surveys and attending meetings with client
• Attend meetings with clients and senior management
• Reporting directly to the Head of Estimating
• Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentations
• Compiling tenders on Cypher estimating software
• Maintain relationships with clients

Requirements:
• Relevant Electrical Qualifications preferred but not essential
• Ability to estimate projects between £5k and £500k in value
• Experience using Cypher and Procore beneficial but not essential
• Ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
• A strong understanding of health and safety in construction
• Appreciation of data and documentation integrity
• Proactive and positive
• Good communication and IT skills
