With over 400 staff and expectations for this to increase further in the near future, Rapport Housing and Care has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join our hardworking HR team based in Rochester, Kent on a full-time basis.
Responsible to the Head of HR the primary function of the role will be to oversee the monthly processing of payroll, but in addition the successful candidate will also fulfil a wide range of interesting and associated responsibilities, including:
o Supporting the payroll process by generating and issuing workforce contractual documentation
o Recording staff absences and holidays on the HR database
o Collating and analysing data
o Preparing management information reports
o Answering the phone and helping with direct enquiries.
In addition to the above, the successful postholder will be expected to assist the Head of HR with other projects and administrative duties within the department as required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a well organised, experienced payroll assistant to join our hardworking team in Cuxton (Kent), develop their role and add to their skill set. No two days in our department are ever the same and someone who is a strong communicator with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and prioritise their work load whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy will relish this role!
o Previous experience of overseeing payroll processing for a workforce of 300 people plus.
o Ability to work on your own initiative.
o Must have excellent attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy in your work.
o Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Word and Excel.
o Good telephone manner.
o Knowledge of HR and payroll systems
