Senior Warehouse Manager

Rochester

£40-50k DOE



Our well-established client based in Mid Kent is seeking a Senior Warehouse Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis. You will be initially based on the Medway site but must be flexible to travel in the future to other sites.



The ideal candidate will have previous Warehouse Management experience operationally but be a strategic thinker, keen to progress into a more senior role. You will be confident in managing cost control, KPIs and managing direct and indirect reports.

Duties include;

* Managing several direct reports
* Directly overseeing the Warehouse department short, medium, and long-term planning to ensure all customer requirements needs are met at all times.
* Stock management including strategic improvement of processes
* Ensuring compliance is met in all areas of work such as qualification, training and safety.
* Ensure all safety concerns are logged and managed appropriately
* Manage, review, and refine the out of hours and holidays backup rota systems to ensure response to any site issues with a robust process.
* Continuously review department processes, removing any unnecessary duplication.
* Introduce technology, mobile, manual, and electronic systems to ensure compliance is met and a smooth running of operation is completed.
* Oversee and introduce daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI targets.
* Introduce a culture of cost control, reviewing and understanding costs and efficiencies across the department
* Ensuring the Supervisors are managing the Warehouse operationally successfully.



Required Experience;

* Previous experience working within a fast paced, challenging environment within a similar role
* Experience in managing a team
* Experienced and passionate about presenting key findings across the board, implementing change and exploring operational improvements
* Full UK Driving License required
