Working as a Sous Chef and supporting the Head Chef to supervise staff and to prepare and cook food for a prominent establishment's catering offer you will ensure the delivery of an excellent customer service.
As directed, you will cook and prepare all menu items to ensure a high standard of food offering, supervise kitchen staff as required and deputise for the Head Chef as required. You will work with other departments in providing effective service delivery in order to deliver an excellent standard of customer service, control wastage of stock to ensure maximum efficiency at all times and to support the delivery of agreed margins.
To apply, you should have sound knowledge of cooking techniques and style, along with knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in particular food hygiene and food allergies. You must have a minimum of one year's experience working at Chef de Partie level or above in the catering industry. A minimum of NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery or equivalent and Level 2 in Food Safety will be essential.
The hours of work are 37 per week, working 5 out of 7 days, with service generally finishing by 7.30pn -8pm. Immediate start available.
